Construction of the nurses home. An area of c.200sq m was stripped by machine. In the SE corner of the site Roman levels were exposed. To the W sand sealed by substantial deposit of burnt daub and charcoal. The most noteable feature was a short wall foundation of solid mortar running N-S immediately E of the burnt material.
