Full Description

Middle Row first recorded in 1488, situated to the east of St Runwald's Church and later included the Butcher's Shambles constructed in 1583-4 and consisting of a two storey timber-framed building with tiled roof. Middle Row was demolished in 1857.<1> Part of the Middle Row is shown on a town plan of 1848<2> and the shops are depicted in a Lithograph.<3>
