Full Description
In 1938-9 excavations for the public library exposed 23ft of the southern boundary of the insula just E of the SW corner. The wall was faced with small blocks of septariaa. 24ft N of the street under the N wall of the library near the NW corner lay a patch of red tessellated pavement 13ft long and 3ft wide continuing southwards. 80ft E of the NW corner of the library just S of the NE corner of the Library lay another small patch of red pavement measuring 5ft by 3.5ft. <1>
