Full Description

Roman pottery kilns found in 1877; five Roman kilns numbered 7-11 excavated by Joslin in 1877 two of which were the horizontal draught type. N0 7 was a large rectangular kiln possibly intended for tiles but which had been used for pottery. <1> Other refs given in source 1. <2> <3>
