Full Description
During excavations at Culver Street between 1981-2 & 1984-5, part of a wattle wall (CAT EF1445) was recovered from beneath the later metalling of a street (MCC779). The wall appeared to have been demolished during alterations to an adjacent building (MCC775) and may have been the original south wall of a range of rooms. Less likely is the explanation that the wattles were put down to support the road metalling.<1>
