Full Description

Shown on the same plan as that referred to in Site Record No. 10020 is "LG No.2" - a pillbox in the SE corner of the coastal artillery site at West Mersea. This pillbox is recalled locally; the position is now occupied by a childrens playground.<1> Wills lists this as a "destroyed, polygonal, brick and concrete pillbox at TM 020 123.<2> One photo of site.<3>
