Full Description

A Neolithic flint axe was recovered as a surface find from an area already well known for its many cropmark ring-ditches, one of which was excavated in 1974 (Holbert and McMaster, 1975). Two other axes have been found in the area. The present find is thinner and more delicate than the earlier finds and made from a light sandy coloured flint. Finds in private possession. <1> <2> <3>
