Full Description

The church was restored in the C19 when the chancel arch was rebuilt. Features and fittings include: a bell of 1679; early C17 chair in chancel; late C17 communion rail in vestry; floor slab in chancel, 1692; early C17 pulpit; sundial on nave buttress.<1> Pulpit early C17 according to Bettley & Pevsner. Font cover mostly C19 (some C15 details - see RCHM).<2>

C15 S. porch restored in 1918, timber with traceried sidelights and bargeboarded gable.<2> Modern lych gate, c.1901, oak framed, clay tile.<3>

Copy of newspaper article in Essex HER describes, mostly, modern and post medieval fittings and memorials.<4>
