Full Description

Two-storied, timber-framed and plastered house with tiled roofs. Built in C17 on L-plan. Exposed beams inside house. Barn to N of house is C17, timber- framed, weatherboarded. It has eight bays with an aisle and two porches. <1> House in fact is C15 in origin. Now forms a T-plan. Cross-wing jettied to NW, has a side purlin roof and a C18 extension, full height beyond the now internal jetty. Relatively recent building extends hall range to SW. Elevations rendered and re-windowed in late C19 and C20. Barn to NW is 9 bays long, with one aisle. Two midstreys face SE. Stable range to NE of barn, red brick of c1800. <2>

Site Assessment = Barn is in good condition and in regular use. <2>
