Full Description

CAT Building 11 was demolished and probably replaced afterwards by CAT Building 12. The new building dates from c.AD 90 to c.100. The structural remains consisted of the bases of two ?daub block walls, many stake holes and part of another daub block wall with an adjacent square post-hole. An intensely burnt patch corresponded closely but not exactly to the position of the hearth in building 10 and may be all the remained of a replacement for it. The earliest levels contained the remains of a nest in the form of a patch of straw with fragments of at least three egg shells. Some of the stake-holes may have been part of a structure over the nest.<1>
