Full Description

The major period of activity at the site was Roman however there were a few prehistoric features, all of which can be attributed to the Middle-Late Bronze Age. These consist of three pits close to the Maldon road and probably a small ring-ditch on the north-west of the site.The ring ditch was about 8 m in diameter. The pottery is tempered with fragments of crushed burnt flint.<1>
