Full Description

Contemporary records state, “Pillbox and A/T ditch S.E. corner of Sewage Works, near Hythe Quay. Map ref. 471416”. (Mil. Ed.).<1>

A low-level aerial photograph taken in 1948 shows an hexagonal pillbox on the W side of the track by the River Colne at this point. The entrance is on the W side.<2>

This position is now grain silos.
