Full Description

In the C15 - 16 earlier house was rebuilt and enlarged into a five- roomed structure. Although the earlier structure was domestic, this later atructure may have contained shops/ industrial units as blacksmithing debris was found on one of the floors. In the C16- 17, There was further building work primarily the insertion of a chimney breast.
There was a certain amount of C18 brickwork and quite a lot of Victorian brickwork on the site. The archaeological deposits connected with the later history of the site have been removed by recent terracing, and as a consequence the adjacent plot (to the West) stands higher than the present site level <1>. A witches bottle was Found <2>. <3>.
