Full Description

On the south boundary of Hilly Fields nature area, by the SW entrance, is a type FW3/22 concrete, hexagonal pillbox. This is a very high position and from here, before the bushes on the hillside grew up, the view downhill and across the River Colne would have been almost a mile across. The entrance, on the southeast side, and the loopholes have been sealed although one loophole is now open.<1>
