C14 open hall house encased in C18 red brick.

Richard Shackle records the discovery of a complete Bellamine Jar c.1950, found under the floor of a room (ground floor front room of crosswing) formerly used as the dairy, perhaps 'to protect the milk and cheese making from the evil influences fo witches'.<1>
