Full Description

The English School was founded in 1599 as a school to teach the basics top the youth of Dedham, the more able scholars graduating to the Grammar School. The school oincorporated both the class-rooms and the master's house. It was refurbished in the 18th century, 1767 recorded on its facade. Closed in 1872, but the building was used for some time after as a Girls School. <1>
