Full Description
During excavations at the Gilberd School a stone-and-mortar foundation was discovered running north-south along the edge of the re-metalled north-south street (MCC346). The foundation was reinforced with 0.5 to 0.65m deep piles and was 'perhaps intended to separate the street from a footway on its western side.'<1>
