Full Description

Shallow ditch (CF12) defined by evaluation, containing a single flint. Viewed in conjunction with other Bronze Age features in the same trench (see MCC2996), the report suggests this is also likely to be of the period.<1>

Note that the features does not appear to have been traced (any further) when the area around the trench was subsequently stripped and excavated, and the final report states there was no evidence of Bronze Age activity in Area C1.<2><3> This suggests the pottery was initially mis-identified, and is probably Neolithic (see MCC3001).
