Full Description

In Trench 2, two north-south aligned ditches were observed. They were 9.5m apart (inner edge to inner edge), and, as far as it was possible to judge from a narrow trench, they appeared to be running parallel to one another. One of these trench was dated by Roman brick, but the other is undated. It is suggested they are contemporary parallel ditches, and represent the side ditches of a Roman trackway.<1>
