Full Description

Observations and limited excavation during a watching brief at Colchester Garrison revealed widespread Roman features, including a series of ditches, evidence of timber structures associated with an oven, and a building with hypocaust. These indicate occupation during the 1st to 3rd centuries in a previously unrecorded locality.<1>
