Full Description

The following finds were recovered from the Kirkee McMunn Barracks prior to the construction of a large workshop in 1994:

Probable Bronze Age pottery from F47
Sheepen type pottery of likely pre-conquest date in F407 & F409
Sherds of stamped terra rubra vessel in F409
Undiagnostic flints in possible Prehistoric pits F9 & F17
Roman pottery of 2-3rd century AD date
20 fragments of Combed Box Flue Tiles
Lumps of Opus signinum, greensand, charcoal & burnt daub
