Full Description
A Roman wall foundation was discovered during excavations in the Castle Park during 1927/8. The foundation was 2ft. 3in. wide on which a few blocks of septaria still sat in position. The foundation ran east-west for 12ft. before it returned north for 13ft. nearly at right angles. The angle of this wall was built upon an earlier foundation (MCC2381).<1>
