Full Description

Slight traces of a north-south Roman, septaria wall discovered during excavations in a Castle Park in 1927/8 (ECC793). The wall was thought to be one of three which belonged to a building (see also MCC2375 and MCC2376) and was situated 42ft. 6in. west of the western edge of a drain culvert (see MCC1515). 'The remains were only about a foot thick and very fragmentary'.<1>
