Full Description
A single Roman inhumation burial (F1108), an unaccompanied burial, aligned West-East with the head (beyond the trench) to the west. The body was fully extended with the arms crossed so that both hands rested on the stomach. The burial cut a layer containing 3rd-4th century pottery suggesting a 4th century terminus post quem for the burial. Found in Trench 11, St Mary's Hospital Evaluation.<1><2>
