RCHME survey of 10 Northgate Street. 17th century Structure.<1>

The DOE describe No's 10 & 12 as 18th century house although the listing states that No 10 is probably earlier with 18th century alterations. No 10 has its gable end to the street, probably timber-framed. Rendered, two storeys and an attic; one window, sashes, with glazing bars on the upper floor, attic casement. Tiled roof. No 12 is two storeys, sashes with glazing bars. Hipped slate roof. No's 10 & 12 are structurally connected with visible remains of the Roman town wall.<2>
