Full Description
A Roman wall foundation discovered during excavations at the Telephone Exchange Site in 1950 (ECC872). The wall ran north-south and had a block of masonry laid across it in an east-west direction probably left by stone-robbers. The wall was 4th century in date and was believed by Hull to have been the remains of a basement.<1>
