RCHME survey of 19 & 20 North Hill. House and shop has a front block of the 16th century, refaced with brick in the 18th century; at the back is a long early 17th century wing and a later wing in the angle between it and the front block. <1>

DOE survey of No's 19 & 20 North Hill. Grade II. C17 house, timber framed and plastered, the roofs tiled. Refronted in red brick in the C18, with parapet, 8 window range of double hung sashes with glazing bars, the south part of the front breaks forward slightly with 3 windows (A Venetian window on the 1st floor), carriage entrance north end of front with brick arched head. Large early C17 wing at the rear, one transomed window with leaded casements. No's 19 and 20 have modern shop fronts. <2>
