Full Description

During excavations at the Royal Grammar School in 1964 (ECC692), a number of Roman coins were discovered in addition to a ditch (MCC1787) and other features (MCC1790). The coins included a provincial copy of a Claudian Minerva found in the bottom of the ditch fill, a semis of Nero and a dupondius of Vespasian.<1><2>
