Full Description

Complex sequence of Roman floors with little additional structural evidence other than a timber wall slot and hearth which lay at a depth of 95cm from the surface. At the west end of the site, the earliest floor showed clear evidence of heavy burning with deposits of burnt daub overlying it up to 15cm thick. Above this was traces of later floors.<1>
