Full Description
A watching brief was maintained during the construction of a large multi-storey car park and shops on the site of a former surface car park, shops and houses. A layer of gravel which seems to be at a depth of 3.5 metres to 4.0 metres near the centre of the northern frontage. Noticeable was a concentration of Roman material from the western part of the site. <1>
