Full Description

During excavations at Balkerne Gardens in 1965 (ECC659), the remains of Roman masonry building of two-phases were discovered. The building was built over the levelled remains of an earlier structure (MCC1593) and consisted of two masonry walls and two piers built of septaria and mortar. <1>
