Full Description

A north-south footway was discovered during excavations at the Telephone Exchange Site in 1966 (ECC657). The footway was situated along the west side of the former via sagularis (MCC760) and consisted of layers of cobbles and sand beneath a later masonry building (MCC1579). Unfortunately no dating material was recovered from these layers but they overlay a massive layer of Boudican destruction debris.<1>
