Full Description

A Roman timber-lined drain was discovered during excavations at the Telephone Exchange Site in 1966. The pre-Boudican drain ran north-south along the east side of a gravel street (MCC1576) and to the west of a contemporary building (MCC1573) which it was separated from by a gravel surface.<1>
