Full Description

Two early Roman post-holes close to the remains of a timber wall (defined by a beam impression F13; see MCC1563), and possibly associated with it, and two late Roman gullies situated to the south of Temple of Claudius precinct wall were defined during investigations in 1964.<1>
Also several late Anglo-Saxon slots suggesting re-use of the blind arch of the temple precinct arcade.<2>
