Full Description

Lying on the Boudican destruction horizon were an unmortared stack of five tiles, possibly part of an oven. A north-south pit/gully was recorded, apparently open in AD.60/61, it contained cess like fill and could have been a drainage gully which perhaps extended between the street and footway and or-any timber structures to the east. A possibly timber-lined gully or drain running north-south 0.6m of the Fortress Street metalling was recorded.<1>

The only evidence for later Roman occupation over the eastern part of the site consisted of the remains of early medieval robber trenches.<1>
