Full Description
A Roman wall foundation was discovered during groundwork for a new nursery building in the grounds of East Hill House. The widths of the walls were consistent with those of houses as opposed to domestic buildings. A second wall (MCC1471) was found further to the west and the two may have belonged to a building situated 12m to the north (see MCC1477). A robber trench was found further to the west (see MCC1479).<1>
