Full Description

A small Roman foundation discovered during excavations at Sheepen in 1933. The foundation was lightly built and rectangular, consisting of pieces of Kentish ragstone. It measured 4ft. 6 in. to 5ft. square and was set in the fill a large ditch (ELM114).<1>
