Full Description

Record of a quantity of Roman pottery found at Serpentine Walk (in Strowlger's and Humm's ground), including fragments of Amphora and mortaria. Indications of the presence of Roman kilns here have been noted from time to time; a further batch of pottery includes two mortarium rims stamped by Martinus, one of the potters of the kilns found in 1933 in field 1074.
