Full Description

(CAT Building 173) Medieval building evidenced by two rooms which probably lay at the northern end of a wing extending back from a building frontage onto the High Street (later No.135). One room housed a series of hearths or ovens and was probably a service room or kitchen. Between this building and that immediately to the east (MCC103, CAT Building 174), was a narrow passage, under 1.5m wide with a gravel surface. The rear wing of this building was demolished by the early 16th century.<1>
