Description

In September 1952 a Roman kiln (Kiln 25) was found during the alteration of ground levels on the school playing field at the Endsleigh School, west of Kingswode Hoe (now the Sussex Road Housing estate). The kiln was situated 120 yards SSE of Kiln 7 (MON703). It was excavated by Mr. J. Williams (headmaster) and Mr. J.B. Baird.<1>
