Description

Early in 1977 a series of small trial holes were dug along the line of the nave walls of the Anglo-Saxon? church discovered in 1972 (ECC389). Unfortunately the remains of the demolished church proved to be too deep for the scale of the excavation and the project was abandoned. It did however, allow further observation of the dumped material sealing the demolished church. <1><2>
