Description
Colchester Archaeology Group hand-excavated test pits/trenches in January (LH1 and LH2), February (LH2, LH3 and LH4), March and May (LH5). Brick wall foundations were defined, as well as substantial quantities of brick and post medieval rubble, tile, clay pipe and metal objects.<1>
There is no plan of the trenches and no accurate location of these investigations in the report. The trenches are also not clearly related to the geophysical survey that was undertaken (ECC3821).
