Description

Structural survey of 2-3 Queen Street during renovation work. No. 3 is a timber-framed building with two bays, of three storeys with double jetties on the front elevation and a carriage arch, probably dating to the 15th or 16th century. In the yard behind there is another range of buildings (three bay building) at right angles, part of the same complex. The timber-frame of No. 2 was also uncovered, and it too probably dates to the 15th or 16th century.<1>
