Description

A foundation is noted by P.G. Laver in the northern part of the Colchester Union Workhouse (St Mary's Hospital from 1938) grounds. There is no description but, according to Hull, 'Laver's plan' shows a square about 18ft inside one about 35ft and resembles a temple more than a tomb.<1> The plan is marked on the 1926 OS 1 to 25" map.
