Description

A series of 4 layers of compact stoney road metalling observed in the N face of a 2m deep trench situated on the line of the S carriageway of the Balkerne Gate. This extended froma depth of 1.16-1.55m below the surface of the road S of `The Hole in the Wall' PH.
