Description

A tessellated pavement was uncovered by Mr Mason behind No 44 North Hill in October 1923. It lay 5ft from the south wall of the property and 37ft from the back door of the house at a depth of 2ft 6in. The material was large red tesserae with a few yellowish ones, painted plaster was also found. <1>
