Description

In the spring of 1956 a water-main trench was cut from the ground formerly a nursery garden and now lying between Margaret Road and Catchpool Road. In addition to fragments of Roman pottery 'from the part of the trench in the nursery garden came a lot of fragments of brown native L.C.P. exactly like that found at Sheepen and obviously going with were fragments of a almost white copy of butt beaker f.113, and chips of vessels of T.R.3 & T.R.4...' <1>
