Description

A row of native burials found just outside the west wall of the former cemetery when it was extended between Plum Hall and Monk Wick Farm.<1> Hull's notes record, ' At intervals, beginning in the summer of 1946, as the graves were dug, purely Belgic ("Late -Celtic") pottery from a small number of Burials was found by grave-diggers at a point just outside the west boundary of the cemetery, and due west of the Nonconformist Mortuary Chapel".<2> Grave Groups 571-4.<3>
