Former school designed by J.W.Start who designed the Grand Theatre in Colchester (LB117277). A single -storey building of redbrick with decorative brickwork and gabled elevations. Many of the internal features still in place. SMR 40757. Opened as a Board School in September 1891 to serve the growing population. From 1960s used as a community centre before reverting back to school use in 2002. Will, once more, become a community building from April 2012.
