Full Description

At the back of No 17 High Street, close to the back door at the end of the passage from Culver Street, and under the wall of the adjacent No 18 is a well about 60-70ft deep. The exact position is under an arch in the wall, close to the ground. It is about 6ft in diameter, made of Roman materials and stuccoed from top to bottom.<1>
